Hi guys, new to this forum so here goes. I have had a soft spot for EJ/EH's ever since working on these cars when they were new. Owned a EJ standard sedan when I was a apprentice motor mechanic working at a GM dealership in the 60's. Have not been on the tools for a very long time and having recently retired decided to acquire a small project to keep me occupied. Searching the internet I bid on a EJ Special Sedan on eBay and ended up winning the auction, sight unseen, only pics, not very wise I know but none the less it looked like a reasonable car and any mechanical work I would be able to tackle myself quiet easily.

Not knowing what I had really bought I eagerly waited for EJ to arrive after arranging transport.

Below are some pics.
The car was in pretty good shape on first impressions. Katherine beige with bunyip bronze top was a very common paint combination for EJ.

My original EJ re-sprayed iridescent blue, done by a spray painter mate and fitted with Falcon Futura bucket seats I picked up from the wreckers and had them recovered in blue to match the rear EJ seats. Also had the chrome centre console with lid from Falcon Futura  EJ/EH Premier buckets were near impossible to get back then. Being young and a bit of a hot rod fan at the time the plan was to fit a small block 283 Chevy with 3speed Chevy manual Hurst shifter in the EJ but alas this never eventuated.

EJ #2 was purchased in 2009 and was to be the retirement project but needed too much in rust repairs and was eventually sold on eBay as a unfinished project.
