Hi Rob,

Yep, I noticed that when I was looking at the car just before we loaded it, mentioned it to the seller but he didn't have any idea, that's another thing to add to the list, forgot to mention that it does have an HR disc brake front end, will see how I go with rego as I am hoping they won't notice it and I won't have to have engineering approval, I could always tell them the Premier came out with discs, LOL.....

Yeah , easy to fix if your engine towers were done correctly .. guessing the drivers side mount is mounted to the front also so atleast its correct.
I purchased my Prem from Vic maybe 5 years ago , and drove it around untill 6 ish months ago and it seemed all good. Wasnt till i started stripping it and started finding hack jobs , bodgeys etc that i realised holy crap who did that !!!

Anyway all part of the fun or incanity .. a personal choice there !! great advice from the members on this site, bit of research and it slowly starts to come to gether ... oh and best you dont tell the other half exactly what it is costing !!!

cheers

Hi Guys,

Have fitted some bits n pieces to the Prem, sorted out the engine mount, new wheels n tyres, lovell's super low springs (modified), woodgrain steering wheel, new stone guards, new set of 3" door mirrors, new set of chrome push buttons on the doors, s/steel button head bolts on the guards, new rear brake and indicator lenses, polished all the stainless strips and chrome lowers on the bucket seats, everything on the dash has been removed and polished and put back on, scored a mint front grill badge assembly and fitted a new 179 insert into it, changed some of the grill bars for better ones, fitted a good set of 4 matching gauges into the dash pod, just in the middle of painting the inside of the speedo and dash gauges white, other bits n pieces and a general clean and tidy, two main jobs left are sorting out the clutch cable but am now probably going to do the conversion back to auto, and still need to have a new exhaust fitted and at the same time will have the X2 headers fitted also, it's no show car but I am quite happy with it.

Cheers, Jack :)

PS: Need to resize pics so will post later.

Just wondering if anyone has offered an opinion on the type of oil cap used with that type of breather pipe ..... I also have a Roebuck pearl prem and when the guy rebuilt the engine he insisted that I use an oil cap that could ' breathe' something to do with positive crankcase ventilation

Hi Guys,

Unfortunately after months and months of trying to find an EH Premier I am having to now let this car go, last week I bought a HR Premier with a 350 Chev, powerglide, ford diff, basically stock besides that and a really neat build from the 80's so it's gunna be my daily, due to having an FJ Ute resto on the go also I have decided I will let the EH Premier go, I know i'll regret it but I can't keep them all, it's on Ebay at the moment if anyone is interested.
