Trimatic Overdrive

Has anyone out there thought about or fitted Laycock overdrive unit to there trimatic ?

Very interesting question. There aren't too many people posting on here lately. Some good advice on FX FJ, FE FC & FB EK sites on subjects like this. I've never heard of this but I imagine it would be a good alternative to using a tall diff as I did in my 3.3 trimatic EK.

Hi Clay , yep been a member with various user names for a quite a while ... not like it used to be but still a wealth of info & experience.

Back to Laycock overdrive , I believe the early 70's volvos along with some other makes utilised the trimatic under different names but also fitted a Laycock unit for overdrive , ive seen a few pics over the years but never in real life .. Buga community has some pics of a trimatic with one fitted. Just toying around with giving it a go but reluctlent to shell out cash for a maybe
